Diamonds markets slightly weakening, the tipping point before up or down?

Diamond markets are at a tipping point. Prices and sales went slightly down the last month, but with mixed feelings and results.

In financial markets this is typical before a spike up or down is to come. What will it be?

The start of the year was strong with the Hong Kong show. Diamond production has been falling behind expectations, something that should lead to higher prices. However, there seems to be a trend of reducing inventory by retail stores, and getting diamonds just in time (JIT).

We believe that the JCK will be the tipping point, and sales will go up. But time will tell.
